That Marvel Submission
|
That Marvel submission that I sent out a while back came back with the rejection letter I thought would be there. At least they said my submission was "well thought out and highly creative". With a character with regenerative powers getting captured by cannibals and used as a renewable food source as well as getting attacked by the ghost of his third grade math teacher? Creative indeed. ^_^ Hopefully in the next week or so, I’ll have some changes posted on the site, so I’ll probably put up the Marvel submission so people can browse through it. I have a new article/preview/review of Star Wars: Empire #1 out at the Comic Book Insider website (and my review/fond farewell to the Deadpool series should be up there soon as well). I’m also working on two other articles…one’s a series for aspiring writers/storytellers on how to turn those ideas into actual stories (being written as a fill in series for the Tuesday articles over at Digital Webbing), and the other will be File 13: Comic Book Conspiracies Newsletter, a weekly parody piece that takes a funny look at what "they" are doing to our comics (inspired by all of the rampant Agent X theorizing and kool-aid laced gummy bears). I’d let you know what else is going on, but I’m pouring through all my emails trying to figure that out myself–my PDA is dying on me after many years of faithful service, and I kept my task list and schedule on it (which are now messed up and messed up my computer copy when I did my daily sync). Oh well, I get to buy new technology now…a brand new PDA with wireless network access and a Linux based operating system. Hoo-yah! |
