you might not be able to tell with this piece, but i've been f-ing around with the
brush settings in photoshop. i would like to thank bobby chiu and kei acedera for the
tutorial in the back of their sketchbook i picked up in chicago last year.
look for more "painterly" things from me in the future.

i woke up this morning and thought, "why haven't i pulled out my old prisma color markers in so long?"....these two sketch cards are the resulting product. i've never drawn the scarlet witch before, but i thought it turned out alright. the "magic effect" didn't work as well as i would have wanted, but it's too late now. of the two, i think i prefer the batman one most.

just thought i'd utilize the software i have....
i haven't really "sketched" digitally a whole lot, i've mostly used the manga studio program for finished work....like the webcomic. i do sketch the webcomic out in blue pencil on the computer, then ink it...but i thought today it might be cool to work with the digital graphite.

hey.
i drew this up this afternoon after looking over WAY too many Adam Hughes drawings.
i actually used real ink and paper for this one. the character's name is Blacklight, she had a two issue run over at Image's Shadowline imprint...Scott Wherle wrote it...it was good, though short lived.
