After a week with the flu that quickly turned into an upper respiratory infection and acute bronchitis (eventually landing me in the ER for seven hours last Friday), I’m finally recovered enough to get back to the site. I wasn’t really in any condition to get the Comicaze Report updated on Friday, but there will be a new one this week. Seth and I did manage to get a new Spook’d and Brat-halla up this week (so enjoy those). I’ll be catching up from last week most of this week, so blogging might be light… but I’ll do my best to keep these crazy comments rolling.
Quick tidbits:
- Over at ICv2, there’s talk of a Constantine sequel. The comic book movie did pretty well for an R-rated movie finishing second in the box office this past weekend.
- Over at Sci Fi Wire, Joel Silver mentions that they’re looking at November 5th for the release date for V for Vendetta… and filming for the movie starts March 7th.
- Also from Sci Fi Wire, Christian Bale talks a bit about Batman Begins and the new Batmobile.
“They’ve done such a radically different thing with it,” he said. “And what I love about it is that, aesthetically, it kicks ass. It looks f–king stunning. … It looks nothing like any Batmobile that has come before it, and it completely has practical applications that are explained, and [are] very smart and make complete sense. And that’s indicative of what we’ve done with everything to do with the movie, including the explanations of the suit, the cowl, all the different gadgets that he comes up with and where he comes to them.”
- And once more from the Wire, Joel Silver (yes, him again) confirmed that he’s trying to work a deal with Joss Whedon to direct a Wonder Woman movie.
